The short answer

What to write about
- Data corrections. If a number, label or source on a page looks wrong, send the page address, what you think it should say, and a link to the source that shows it. We check the source, fix confirmed errors and date the change on the method page. Start a correction email.
- Press and citations. Journalists and researchers are welcome to quote the figures and use the downloadable data with credit to this site and the original source. Press enquiry.
- General questions about how the site or its model works. Ask a question.
What we cannot do
- Size a system for your home, recommend a contractor or give a quote. A licensed contractor's load calculation (Manual J) should decide that; see the terms.
- Answer questions about orders placed with retailers. Contact the seller.
